Who I Am

 My name is Steven Dimonski and I am a Lafayette Township resident and proud Trustee candidate. I value our rural heritage and support responsible growth. I'm committed to restoring local government that serves with transparency, integrity, and accountability. I'm running for Lafayette Township Trustee to return the voice to you, the residents. Our community deserves transparent, accountable leadership that listens, respects your concerns, and puts people before politics. It's time your voice is heard.  

As a retired police officer, I will bring many assets to Lafayette Township:  

1. Strong Public Safety Insight: With firsthand experience in law enforcement, I understand the importance of well-supported emergency services and can advocate effectively for public safety resources.  

2. Crisis Management Skills: Years of handling emergencies and high-pressure situations have prepared me to make calm, informed decisions—skills essential in township leadership.  

3. Commitment to Community Service: Serving and protecting the public is at the heart of my career. As a trustee, I’ll continue that commitment by working for what’s best for every resident.  

4. Accountability and Integrity: A background in law enforcement emphasizes ethics, responsibility, and public trust—values I will carry into township government.  

5. Strong Relationships with First Responders: I bring direct understanding of the needs of our fire and EMS departments, and will work to ensure they have the tools and support they need. 

 6. Proven Organizational Skills: Law enforcement demands excellent planning, coordination, and attention to detail. I’ll bring those same skills to township operations and budgeting.
